Bozhidar Ayala
Founder & President
Bozhidar Ayala is the Founder and President of FaithWorks Foundation Inc., a faith-driven nonprofit created to spread hope, encouragement, and the love of Jesus through meaningful acts of service.
With a career in hospitality leadership, Bozhidar has spent years serving others, leading teams, and creating welcoming environments where people feel valued and supported. Through his leadership at the hotel, he has organized and led community initiatives including toy drives, food drives, and outreach efforts benefiting local homeless shelters. These experiences strengthened his passion for service and showed him how much of an impact people can make when they come together for a shared purpose.
Inspired by his faith and a desire to help people through difficult seasons, Bozhidar founded FaithWorks Foundation to continue that mission on a larger scale. He believes that even a small act of kindness can remind someone that they are seen, loved, and not alone.
Through faith-inspired products, community outreach, donation drives, and direct assistance to individuals and families in need, Bozhidar hopes to create lasting connections and shine a light in places where hope may feel distant.
His vision for FaithWorks is simple: serve with compassion, lead with faith, and help others experience the light and hope that everyone deserves.
Dr. Homeretta Ayala
Director, Treasurer
Dr. Homeretta Ayala serves as a Director & Treasurer of FaithWorks Foundation Inc., bringing decades of experience in education, music, ministry, and faith-based leadership to the organization.
A lifelong educator and accomplished musician, Dr. Ayala dedicated 35 years of service to Baltimore County Public Schools, working in music education and library media. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to helping others grow through education, creativity, faith, and the transformative power of music.
Dr. Ayala is also an experienced church music director, organist, pianist, and choir director. She currently serves as Organist and Traditional Choir Director at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, where she uses her musical gifts to enrich worship and help create meaningful spiritual experiences for the congregation.
Her most recent academic achievement is earning a Doctor of Worship Studies from Liberty University. Her doctoral research examined ethnomusicology and the integration of multicultural music into worship, exploring how churches can honor diverse cultures and help people experience Christ through a broader and more inclusive musical lens.
Through her work with FaithWorks Foundation, Dr. Ayala combines her passion for faith, music, education, and service to help encourage others and strengthen the communities the foundation serves. She believes that worship and compassionate action can cross cultural boundaries, bring people together, and remind every person that they are valued, loved, and worthy of hope.
Maryna Shchobava
Director, Secretary
Maryna Shchobava serves as Secretary of FaithWorks Foundation, bringing more than a decade of experience in hospitality leadership, administration, and the legal field. She currently works as a Front Office Supervisor at Hilton Suites Ocean City Oceanfront, where she helps lead daily front-office operations, supports team members, and ensures guests receive a welcoming and memorable experience.
Before entering hospitality, Maryna worked as an administrative assistant and paralegal, developing valuable skills in legal research, case analysis, recordkeeping, communication, and organizational management. She also completed a paralegal internship with the Public Defender’s Office in Georgetown, Delaware.
Maryna earned an Associate degree in Office Administration and Paralegal Studies from Delaware Technical Community College. Her attention to detail, professionalism, leadership experience, and commitment to helping others make her an essential part of the Foundation’s leadership team. Through her work with FaithWorks Foundation, Maryna is dedicated to supporting responsible governance, strengthening community connections, and advancing the organization’s mission of spreading faith, hope, and compassion.
